What Bryan Fung doesn't like about Delina Restaurant:
Friendly staff. Clean. Good prices. But I feel like the food flavor is far less stronger than it's supposed to be. It's probably not for me and for those that want this cuisine but can't take the hot View all feedback.
When I decided to change my diet to vegetarian, I sort of prepared myself for a life of mainly salads and fresh greens without too much variation of spice and flavor. Well...I've let go of that stereotype. I am always pleasantly surprised to find a new feeding spot when I've finished all my bagged snacks, when I'm not close to home and when I'm not in my own 'hood. The other day I found myself on the other side of town for an appointment in the Beaches area where I very rarely venture. It was almost 1.5 hour trek from door to door to my appointment on the public transit (TTC) for those of you who aren't familiar with the Toronto area. At the conclusion of my appt., I was to head to work for the day. It was lunch time and I was hungry. I thought it wise to grab a meal before I trek to the j-o-b. I was directed by a neighborhood local (who I told I was a vegetarian) to Delina. So glad. When I walked in, I noticed the cleanliness of the whole area: the food prep & service areas, the seating area, the walls, the floors...every thing was spotless! I also noticed the smell of warm, fresh food inviting my palate to taste. I started to look up to the menu then the lovely woman behind the counter smiled at me and said "it's easier if ya just look at the food bins in front of you, ask me any questions and I will put together the food for you". That's what I did. I started with the wrap and chick peas as the 'base'. I added tabouli, tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber. She offered me hummus but I'm not a fan. This sandwich wrap was a liberal serving of food. Boy did it look good! I would classify this as 'cheap eats' because I'm "eh-ehm, frugal" when I buy food in the street. No ten dollar lunches/five days a week for me. Mostly I'm a bag lunch lady. That's why when I find a good 'bang for your buck' food spot, I feel compelled to shout it from the roof tops (ok-Trip Advisor) and make sure to send them any business I can. I sat with my wrap and took my 1st bite. Seasoned perfectly, hearty, tasty, I wasn't disappointed to the last bite. I left full and happy. You will also. BTW, this is not only a vegetarian spot. Meat-atarians are also welcome! As well as my wrap, I purchased two veggie samosas for later consumption. I can confirm that they did not disappoint at my dinner break at work. I was tempted to buy some baklava but I'm watching my "treat" intake and that wasn't a "treat" meal so I stood firm against my cravings. If you live in the beaches close to Delina, I sure envy you. If you're in the area for any appointment (as I was) or event...like the Beaches Jazz Festival or whatever, have no hunger fear- Delina is there!
Love this place!!!!! The food is so fresh! Great to grab and eat at home, if you don't want to cook and still want healthy option. The owner is so accommodating and nice. Highly recommend the falafel!!!!

Neighbourhood friends told us this was a favourite of theirs just a couple of weeks ago and we have been there about 6 times since. Food and service are both superb and flawless. On our favourite Beach restaurants. Do yourself a favour a try this place.
Had the chicken shawarma, with rice, beans, and more Super delicious, and portions so big that i had half at work the following day for lunch.
