Congee Queen - Toronto

We went there for breakfast and they opened at 10am. The food was in good portion and tasty. Good value for the money. Menu has a good variety of food and we couldn't decide what to eat. All look so good.

The chili turnip cakes were delicious. Best version of the dish I've had. Crab Fish maw soup was also very tasty. What I come here for though is the roasted duck and roasted pork. They are done perfectly! I come back to this restaurant because of the quality of the food and the prices. Very reasonable and the environment is nice. 5 stars all the way.

May 2017Went here with friends. Ordered crab meat with corn thick soup, house seafood & mixed veggie fried vermicelli, spice pepper salt squid, beef with mushroom on sizzling hot plate, and chow mein. Of all the food, i enjoyed the crab and corn soup the most. There was a generous amount of crab meat, corn was cooked well and soup was served hot. Had to wait for 20minutes to be seated.Washroom was not so clean, but not so dirty either.

We always allow the Cantonese noodle dish to speak for the restaurant - they do a very tasty dish !! Kids love the salt'n pepper squid, and the shrimp rice noodle rolls ... and the congee is always great! Good value for money - great service !! They remember the repeat customers LOL

I've ate at Congee Queen many times and our family returns in large part for the convenience of free parking. It's located at Agincourt Mall where's you'll find the Walmart so you'll no trouble finding a place to park.I've only been for lunch and it's very busy.Food is good. The corn soup, which the kids love, was very yellow as if food colouring was added.Service was average, our server disappeared a few times.We didn't order for the lunch menu, rather a la carte, and the food came out in good time. Not overly greasy and flavour was good. FYI - the General Tao was heavy with spice, kids didn't touch it.
