Can't believe this place was not on the Michelin star guide. Every single dish has layers of flavors that blow your mind. Definitely the best food experience I've ever had. You can tell every ingredient is well though out. One of the head chefs even came out and brought us over a dish on the house. View all feedback.
Beautiful Resturant , service was outstanding . Food was very good , I wish I could give them 4.5 instead of 4 .We try experience 2 ،sushi and chicken . All of them except sushi was outstanding . Sushi was average. Cocktails and desserts are very good . Pollo den miso was amazing , strongly recommend it .
Celebrated a birthday here with a group and it did not disappoint! Food was outstanding! Ordered the gyozas, yuka frites, cod, Brussel sprouts, steak, miso chicken (and more! plus the dessert platter. Our server was very knowledgeable (the menu is not intuitive and personable. Very cool vibe, good tunes, and stylish. Definitely worth checking out.
This was my second time coming to Chotto Matte. This time I came with my family and just the way they handled the halal menu complete with dishes cooked with no alcohol or no alcohol in the sauce. Even with these restrictions, they were able to help and recommend amazing items. We were also provided three halal sauces on the side that complimented our dishes. We had:Nikkei yellowtail sashimiSpicy otoroBranzino tempuraLomoWagyu dumplings with no sauceWagyu steakChurros with milk chocolate.Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We will be going again for more.Dietary restrictions: Was able to accomodate us in fully halal dishes including no alcohol in sauces or cooking and a shrimp allergy
We did the Chef's Experience and enjoyed each and every dish that came out. The vibe was very cool and relaxed, service was great and the food was outstanding.
I have been to Chotto Matte Toronto many times. The food and service was usually good. Unfortunately, the last time I went, it appears they changed how they cook (or don’t cook) their Pollo Den Miso (a grilled chicken dish). We have had this dish at least five times in the past. This time, it tasted a bit “squishy”, only to see that it was raw inside when we looked more closely. When we brought this to the server’s attention, she said she would take it off our bill because “we barely ate any of it”, but that “the chef said it wasn’t undercooked” – a ridiculous comment and completely unprofessional attitude. Perhaps it was just a coincidence that the two of us that ate the chicken were sick the next day, and the other two were completely fine. Purely coincidence I am sure. I will not be returning, not because they made a mistake (even though raw chicken should never be served), but because of how they handled the situation. If they think this chicken was properly cooked, I am worried this mistake will happen again.
