Canoe Restaurant & Bar - Toronto

We went for lunch during weekday. The service was top notch starting from the front reception till the very end. We were shown our table right away ( note, please always make reservation)We each ordered our appetizers and main course. Highly recommended Sea Bass. So well prepared and tasty.The food was creative and beautifully decorated, the price was of course pricey as well. During weekday before 530pm, customers have to pay for parking.Overall, we highly recommend to try out this restaurant.The view is also a main attraction of this restaurant.

I booked this place to celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife and I are foodies. This visit was supposed to be a unique dining experience for both of us. The restaurant was rated #8 by Canada's 100 Best Restaurants 2017 this is why I decided to give it a try. Well I cannot even describe my disappointment! Nothing, nothing was special about this place. When we entered the joint quite unpleasant smell hit us right away. The staff was friendly but the service was more like Montana's style. Needless to say that there was no sommelier. When I described what kind of wine I preferred and asked for advice our waiter pointed his finger at one of the items on the wine list and said: "I like this one"... The food was plain, poorly presented and in fact not tasty at all. I wonder who could possibly rate it #8 or even put this place on the list of 100 best?!! The only reason I gave it 2 stars was the dessert. So if you are looking for unique dining experience please,please do not waste your time and money. If you visit Montreal try Bouillion Bilk, you will know the difference. bon appétit

Vi valgte tastingmeny som var beskrevet med alt hvad vi fik,og ikke som på andre restauranter af samme niveau , hvor der hele tiden kommer overraskelserFra kokken . Vi fik som 1. ret en meget fedtsmagende smør?bolle lige dækket med papirtynde aspargesskiver,jeg fandt den vammel.Resten af menuen , kaninparfait,Foie gras, lammepølse, æblesorbet og panna cotta var virkelig velsmagende.Tjenerstaben var meget opmærksom og vidende og havde en behagelig væremåde.

First visit 8.11.17. The traps are set for Canoe - spectacular views / location, big reputation. But Canoe doesn't sink in to the traps, maintaining high standards and ignoring any temptation to rest on its laurels. The cuisine, while a fairly limited menu, was outstanding, especially the halibut and white asparagus. We found a couple of tasty half bottles of champagne on the wine list that were nice accompaniments. The service was absolutely top notch - professional and friendly, and very helpful with the menu selections. Highly recommended.

We had good dinning experience here . But while reserving our spot we didnt mention about the location towards window . Guys if you have preference , you can reserve towards window with city landscape(My preference) or Lake landscape And its some extent good for couples . As it is in downtown bay area , you find more business folks in restaurant , so to my option its not a right place to have dine with wifeNot worth for money . But its a nice experience , can try once
