WOW this place is GOOD! The soup is HOT! The kimchi is PERFECT! The rice is TASTY! The price is AMAZING! The kimchi tofu soup was everything I needed and more on a cold night in Toronto. I will definitely go back anytime I’m in the city. This has set the bar I will compare other places to. View all feedback.
What Anna Xia doesn't like about Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu:
Came here with a large-ish group of 11. The service was great! Food came out super quickly. Unfortunately, the soon dubu was very oily and heavy feeling while not having a ton of flavour. However it was not bad. Adding more salt and less oil could make it a lot better. We also got our rice in regular bowls instead of the stone pots. Price for portion size was not great but still reasonable (about $16 per dish). View all feedback.

First time with friends who are regulars... love the complimentary tri-plate of goodness....Kimchee, candied soy and spicy bean sprouts. Inexpensive beers and very filling mains made us very happy
Went there on a a chilly day, got the pork bone potato soup and it was really delicious, hearty and the right amount of spicy. Servings were rather large and priced very well.
Great food, service was great also. Restaurant was very busy on a saturday afternoon, I’ll definitely go back when I’m in the area.
Truth be told, I should've ordered one of the stews, which seemed very popular tonight but decided to try out the bibimbap instead. I can't remember if I've ever had one so disappointing : the rice was cold, the bulgogi lacked flavor and looked pale. And the egg was basically a yolk with some leftover white that had been clearly cut out why? . The side dishes kimchi, sprouts, and toasted soybeans were ok. The accompanying miso broth had more flavour than the rest but was also not hot... Might give it a second chance and try the stews one day.
