Buena Copa pairs a bright wine‑bar vibe and bold cocktails with authentic Mexican small plates—standouts include margaritas, sea bass, fish tacos, tamales, and made‑from‑scratch sopes and chips. Takeout is praised and prices are reasonable. Service and atmosphere vary: evenings can be vibrant and welcoming, but other visits felt loud, cold and pop‑up–like; staff knowledge and appearance are inconsistent and a few dishes arrived lukewarm. Worth a try for drinks and flavor, but manage expectations on consistency.

We arrived at 5:30. All tables were open except 1. They told us without a reservation, it would be hard to get a table, but they would squeeze us in (2 of us). When we left about an hour and a half later more than half of the tables were open. Service was attentive, however she had no product knowledge. I asked questions about drinks and food that she could not answer. I?d also like to note that the entire staff looked to be 1 step away from homeless. No uniform is one thing, but there people looked like they just rolled out of bed. Not appealing. The restaurant was loud and cold, no decor, almost felt like a pop up. Tables were small and cramped. THE MARGARITAS WERE DELICIOUS! But not enough to make up for the overall experience. Food was terrible and served cold. Seemed like it was food warmed up from prior day. If you want great Mexican food go to La cantina del Pueblo.

Tasty Mexican snacks that are made from scratch such as sopes, tlayuda and huarache. Tacos are also served but dessert choices are limited. Service was great and the space is casual with soft lighting.

Highly recommended! Ordered their takeout menu off Tock and would definitely order again. Fantastic flavours, great value and very authentic. Particularly loved the little mason jars with tomatillo salsa, pickled onion and habanero, and the pasilla chillis!
