Sat in the patio tonight in the back. Nice space and we had quick service. The food was amazing: fish tacos and tamales were full-on flavour, but the winner of the night was the sea bass. Absolutely delicious, well seasoned and spicy, but not too spicy. Comes with adobo sauce and pickled onions. Perfection! Margaritas were good. Finally the price point was very good. Yummy. Awesome food and cocktails! Super cool way to try a number of different regional variations of Mexican food. Fair prices
Very promising hangout for wine, cocktails, and Mexican snacks. Cocktails were excellent, and loved the spice on the scallop aguachile. It was served luke warm, which I wasn?t fully expecting. I know it?s a small detail, but I also loved the corn flavour on their tortilla chips. Went two days before Valentines Day, and it was understandably empty considering how new it is and how every one was probably saving their money. So it?s hard to judge the vibe, but I can see this quickly becoming a hot spot. Very bright wine bar. Won?t personally be back, but that?s more because I don?t feel the Campechano or Good Hombres teams value me as a customer, but that?s no reason to keep yourself away. Worth a visit for sure.
We arrived at 5:30. All tables were open except 1. They told us without a reservation, it would be hard to get a table, but they would squeeze us in (2 of us). When we left about an hour and a half later more than half of the tables were open. Service was attentive, however she had no product knowledge. I asked questions about drinks and food that she could not answer. I?d also like to note that the entire staff looked to be 1 step away from homeless. No uniform is one thing, but there people looked like they just rolled out of bed. Not appealing. The restaurant was loud and cold, no decor, almost felt like a pop up. Tables were small and cramped. THE MARGARITAS WERE DELICIOUS! But not enough to make up for the overall experience. Food was terrible and served cold. Seemed like it was food warmed up from prior day. If you want great Mexican food go to La cantina del Pueblo.
Tasty Mexican snacks that are made from scratch such as sopes, tlayuda and huarache. Tacos are also served but dessert choices are limited. Service was great and the space is casual with soft lighting.
