The lamb tikka was phenomenal. Quite impressed with the tenderness of the meat.We also had the chicken tikka masala and it was very tasty as well.it appeared that all the tables around us ordered the butter chicken so either it is very good or that is the only dish that people in Toronto recognize. The service was acceptable. Nothing spectacular but certainly adequate.Skip the masala chai. View all feedback.
What Chesley Sauer doesn't like about Bombay Bhel:
My first experience was with Fish Tikka - Dry as the sole of my shoes. The spices were alright, though, as well as the naan. Second (and last) experience: Tandoori Chicken that, according to their web page would be ''Quarter leg of chicken marinated in yogurt and an array of spices, cooked to perfection in our tandoor.'' Again, as dry as the sole of my shoes and non-descript veggies as an accompaniement. This time I... View all feedback.
Both eating and service were great. they made adjustments to various dishes to make them vegan friendly. the menu has a great variety, and they are ready to adapt the warmth. we're safe back.
Food was delicious. They made dahi poori for us even tho it was not on the menu. Felt safe. Enjoyed the ambience
I loved to come to this restaurant (my family has been loyal to this place for about 16 years) but the bad service and serious food quality / quantity problems in my last several visit make me definitiw ask if I will ever return. first, the service levels are very bad every time I'm here. at my last visit the restaurant was completely empty when we sat, but it took 5 minutes until the server our menus and then another 5 minutes to bring us some water. When we finally had to give up our order, it took 25 minutes to eat on our table (where two more tables sit this time, but the place was still quite empty) and we couldn't eat immediately because there was no cutlery or teller (in the whole reality it should have been dropped at some point before the food arrived.) secondly, the quality of the food has also gone a little downhill. it is still quite decent to eat, but on one of my visits, my curry was filled with cardamom seeds, kassien bark and a huge laurel leaf (literal the size of my palm.) I get that cardamom seeds find possibilities to hide in curry, and although I hate to bite in them, how it tastes terrible, I would never keep the restaurant responsible, but also, pay $25 for each main dish when eating is subdued and the service is terrible just a bad taste in my mouth. I can think of many places I would rather spend my hard earned money on.
The portions were generous and the food was very flavourful. The wait time for the food seemed a little long, but everything was fresh and tasty when it arrived. The service was very friendly but they were rarely present. There were long wait times to get any service. Overall I would return because of the food and the generous portions!
We go here at least once a month and usually it's fairly good but definately not the best, but we live close and it's convienent. Last time we ordered the butter chicken, which is usually great, but this time it was horrible! It really turned me off from ever going again unfortunatly.
