Menu

The menu of Bent from Toronto contains about 46 different courses and drinks. On average you pay about CA$6 for a dish / drink.

Despite a reputation for quality, this restaurant left diners underwhelmed. One visitor described their meal as the worst they've ever had, citing overly complex dishes with little flavor and an unappetizing braised beef sauce. Another found the interior design distracting and unpleasant due to poor acoustics. On a positive note, a Winterlicious guest enjoyed excellent food and personalized service for their birthday, despite a misspelled dessert. The slaw and raw fish dishes received high praise, along with larger-than-expected portions. Overall, a mixed bag of experiences but potential for improvement in the future.

Was Reuben Weber at Bent a mag?
The food was absolutely brilliant! One of my fav the seared salmon sashimi with the yuki sauce! Heaven in the mouth! The spicy tuna ceviche was refreshing. We had the grilled octopus and also the braised beef. They are all soooo good! Wish to go try out some other stuff on their menu. And reservation highly recommended to avoid any disappointment. What Lorena Volkman dislikes about Bent:
The food at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The dishes were overloaded with ingredients but lacked flavor. The braised beef sauce upset my stomach, and the rice was drowned in the sauce, which seemed more like a beef marinade than a suitable accompaniment for rice. Overall, this was hands down the worst meal I have ever had. View all feedback.

It irks me when a decent eatery allows the interior design agenda to override the dining experience, as is the case with Bent. A small group of us were seated inside, in the back by the glass wall. The din of the room made our dining altogether unpleasurable. whoever designed the space, forgot to think about acoustics. Bring a pair of earplugs and a megaphone.

Usually money in the bank whatever Susur is cooking...this time however, tasters menu left us wanting...of the 5 dishes they brought to our table, 2 were 8/10, the others a sadly weak 5/10...slaw and Octopi were the best dishes...chinese chicken, scallops, and bean salad served with lettuce leaves (kinda peking style) were hardly worth it...$65/person, as I mentioned, usually a can;t miss...this time, definitely missed...I see why they are closing..hopefully they give better value at their new place, as this time, this place, and this menu, was a rip off.
