Our first time at this bistro and we were not disappointed. Meeting with friends in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There were six of us with various tastes and the food was good decent portions and great presentation. Large selection of beers as one...would expect. Prices were reasonable however dessert was pricey in my opinion. Two things stand out: The service from Alisha and her co-workers was exceptional, we... View all feedback.
What Aglae Bergstrom doesn't like about Beer Bistro:
I had booked a dinner last night because I met a friend I hadn't seen in three years. I've eaten here several times. Unfortunately, last night was a huge dining farewell. our server was unfortunately...in more appropriate way trained. order a bottle of French wine, a bottle of Spanish wine produced. She didn't ask how our dinners were. my boeuf bourgignon was cruel. I have never seen that it has served with crumbles... View all feedback.
Enjoyed lovely flavours when I ordered the grilled salmon as it came on top of salad with warm tomatoes, feta cheese and great flavours all mixed together through the heat of the cooked fish. No Carbohydrates accompanied the dish but they didn't need to as I was full and satisfied by the end.The chicken schnitzel was also tasty, with a mixture of flavours and well presented. We sat outside initially but then it started to rain so moved inside where the restaurant was really well presented, clean and had a good atmosphere. We ate here whilst staying at the Omni King Edward which is a mere hop and skip down the road. A great choice!
We ate here with a small work group and it was fine. Food was middle of the road, more hype than substance. We had a very nice server who was very helpful with choosing beer.Got the truffle fries in duck fat an they tasted like regular fries in regular fat. Even salt didn't perk them up so not sure what that's all about. I got a chicken curry and it tasted just like a frozen dinner chicken tikka: curry sauce, chicken chunks and a few potatoes. Lots of basmati rice. No one raved about their dinners but no one complained either.I think that's about it: nothing to rave about but no real complaints.
Neat spot with good food. But what really amazes is the selection of beers, both bottles and draught. The Belgian frites are served in a cone shaped napkin and are amazing (especially the smoky ketchup and garlic mayo sauces), though I'm trying not to pay attention to the calorie count or fat content consumed since these are cooked in duck fat. But super yummy!!! My meal portion size was a but disappointing-- I ordered the duck confit pizza. Thin crust was tasty but portion too small. Though both my friends enjoyed their meal portions (they ordered lamb ribs and the heirloom tomato salad with a grilled chicken breast). Waitress was very attentive. A but pricey, but quality of food was worth it. If you are coming here, come for the choice of beer.
On retrouve ici une fameuse palette de bières, indigènes ou pas. Il y a même la St Bernardus ou la Rochefort !Bonne nourriture également, ambiance sympa
Amazing food and awesome service! I ordered grilled chicken breast and it was delectable. In addition, I ordered a spicy beef taco and it was average. I must say I liked my visit here. I will likely come back.
