Italian like pizza, even the dough was a treat. This was not the soggy fat dripping usual north american pizza. They had a great Canadian beer too!
I went to Bar Mercurio for the first time around 2 weeks ago. My brother has been there many times and recommended it to me. I went there with my husband and daughter, and we all loved it. I ordered the fettuccine in a truffled duck ragu which was absolutely amazing. My daughter ordered the Pizza Gamberi which she found delicious and my husband ordered the Ravioli which was excellent. Service at Bar Mercurio is great, everyone was very kind and caring which my family was very satisfied with. Bar Mercurio had amazing food which we were all very pleased with. We sat outside and that was very nice, and all together we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend bar Mercurio to anyone who loves a great Italian cuisine!
We were looking for a place to get a quick lunch...and walked past little charming restaurant. The owner cheerfully greeted us upon arrival. We sat by the front door, they have outdoor dining too, but it was a little warm for it. We ordered one individual Margherita pizza and the waitress suggested we get it with buffalo mozzarella. It was cooked to perfection. The buffalo mozzarella was amazing. There was enough for 2 slices each, we would have ordered two individual pies normally, but we were just looking for a light lunch that day. My husband enjoyed a glass of red wine and I had Pellegrino. Turns out the owner was from the same part of Italy as my husband. Such a cute place to unwind a little while before heading back to sight seeing. I highly recommend it! The pizza was phenomenal!
This place was just next to our hotel and we sort of just stumbled into it. Super good pizza. Service very good and they made some alternations of the food to help our kids getting what they wanted. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. I would go again....just for the cheese on the pizza.
A friend and I made this our regular spot many years ago. We went there yesterday with the hopes of celebrating our friendship, and take advantage of the 'off hours' to have an important conversation. (It was a kind of anniversary.) However, the pizza mixer was so incredibly loud we had actually cover our ears and basically inhale our food and leave.(As concert goers, we are not ****'s about levels, but there is a time and a place) The noise filled the space and left us with headaches. Other patrons were obviously not happy either. (BTW: The food is always good there.) The staff doesn't seem to like it either. To the Owner/Manager: for the love of Bacchus! please move that machine to the back room or downstairs. We could not believe that all of us, as guests, had to be subjected to the noise. It really ruined our date and the space.
