Description

Bapbo offers a mixed experience - from inconsistent servings and service to delicious food and cozy ambience. Dishes like the pork soontofu stew impress, but portion sizes may not justify the price tag. Service can range from attentive to inexperienced. However, employees show genuine care and hospitality, making exceptions and going the extra mile. Rave reviews for tteokbokki cater to various dietary needs. Huge portions and flavorful dishes make for a satisfying dining experience. Despite minor drawbacks, Bapbo shines with its friendly service, tasty dishes like the bibimbap and spicy pork, and overall value for money, providing a great dining experience worth revisiting.

Portions are huge for the price, couldn't finish what we ordered and had to take the food home. The food also tastes good . Also if you're craving a type of meat, order it alone instead of in a meal combo because you'll get more of that meat that way (in the first picture, compare the short ribs of my combo to my partner's order of galbi. It seems like she got 5x more ribs.

My favourite Korean place in downtown Toronto ! Absolutely I’m love with their kimchi fried rice!

Very very delicious. The picture is taken in our balcony though. :D The sides, maybe the kimchi more than others, tasted a little stale. Maybe it was just that day or that specific order that tasted like this. But the main food was awesome. As you see they're very generous with the portions.

Cozy place. Corn chese and rice cake were pretty good. Service is excellent.

I usually do not write reviews, but wanted to share how special this restaurant is: Your food is naturally very tasty, but I have particularly appreciated that I can enjoy the tteokbokki (spic rice cake options here with my friends who are vegetarian or cannot eat meat on a few days for religious reasons. What came out yesterday was one of the employees so friendly when they missed an item in my order by immediately apologising and some additional dumplings/fried shrimps secondary dishes, treats and drinks. The employee even went to writing an apology note <3!! Usually they always get my order right and I’m sure it was so difficult for businesses during the pandemic, please have something empathy for our local businesses during this tumultuous pandemic!!
