The staff was very attentive and quickly corrected my mistake when I ordered the "hen of the woods" dish, thinking it was chicken when it turned out to be vegetarian. They promptly added a skewer of chicken to my dish at no extra charge. It was my first time visiting this restaurant and I am very disappointed to hear that it is closing soon.

The ambience of Babel was really nice, very spacious and well decorated, with the option of both indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was superb, extremely attentive and constantly checking in onus. The reason for the three stars is the actual food. Even though the rest of the experience was great, one goes to therestaurant for the food, so it has a big impact on the overall experience. Arugula Salad Appetizer; good, but not enoughtopping or dressing to amount to much flavour. Seared B.C. Snapper Main; the fish wasn't dressed or cooked in a way that madeit stand out from any other restaurant, or even something I could make at home. The corn and watermelon salad had barely anycorn and giant chunks of watermelon. I love watermelon, but it didn't serve to complement the other flavours in thedish. Turkish Coffee Cream Puff Dessert; not fresh, and with very little actual coffee flavour. Overall the food was fine,but not great. Good enough, but nothing to recommend itself enough to be worthwhile of a return visit, which is unfortunatebecause the rest of the experience was great.

We ordered the babel bread and charred eggplant. The eggplant was superb and a very unique flavor. Main course 7.5/10 Thelamb shank is perfectly cooked and balanced. Good portion size as well The slow roasted chicken was decent, the skin wasflavourful but the chicken inside was a little bland Dessert 9/10 The kunafah with ice cream was well made, the cheese wasfresh and tasty and the pistachio ice cream on the side is highly recommended
