I have been to Aztec multiple tim... read more I frequently visit this restaurant because it is very close to my home and overlooks High Park. I really enjoy the food there! I have been to Aztec multiple times and have tried a variety of dishes, all of which have been excellent. One of my favorites is the Flautas, which are filled with beef and served in a delicious pastry. Their salads are also amazing. I have brought friends who are more knowledgeable about Hispanic cuisine than me, and they have all enjoyed Aztec. However, those who only think of Taco Bell as authentic southern food were less impressed.

The sandwich just melts in your mouth and the accompanying kale salad and fries on the side were done beautifully too.<br/

And I completely agree with them! I tried the taco variety plate and it was fantastic, much better than The Mad Mexican. The service was fast and friendly, the food was authentic Mexican, and the prices were reasonable.

Although I didn't inquire about cross contamination, the only gluten-containing items on the menu are flour tortillas used in a few dishes. The tacos were delicious!
