This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. The ambience is fantastic with a great vibe, and I love the Indian music they play here. The service is very polite and the prices are reasonable. However, I wish they had more variety of Indian dishes on the menu. View all feedback.
What Anirudh V doesn't like about Banjara Indian Cuisine:
I ordered butter chicken from the Banjara Bloor Street location about a month ago based on their overall rating and reviews for butter chicken. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst butter chicken dishes I have ever had. I am leaving this review for this branch of Banjara as well, as the dish is likely to taste the same at all locations. There was no flavor, and the chicken pieces appeared to not have been cooked in... View all feedback.
Great Indian food, we always do take-out as the dining room looks like a converted bingo. But their curries are solid and very flavorful with generous portions.
We just had a lamb biryani. Which was pretty good spices, portions of lamb and raita. However, hats off to the excellent service and smiling faces throughout even though our order was tiny. I'd say keep up the good work. Don't get to see a lot of service around here in Canada.
A blessing!! That's what this place is! Our go-to place whenever we develope cravings for Indian food, which is almost every other weekend. I'm a sucker for their Madras chicken and rice pudding . I love their biriyani too (an instant hit with our Indian friends). There lunch combo is such worth for your money, I tell you! Their ambience is pretty decent too. Banjara is easily the best Indian food option available around Yonge and Eg.
My experience was really good at Banjara the food was really authentic south indian food which was great, it so far is the vest indian I have had in Toronto. Unfortunately they only had 1 waiter serving during lunch so the service wasnt great
Dear Sajjad and Indian Food Fans,<br/ <br/ Thank you for taking the time to list a bunch of your favourite Indian restaurants within the GTA. After the appointment, Danny and I went out to Banjara Indian Cuisine (east of Yonge and Eglinton) as you had recommended. <br/ <br/ We were tired, cranky and hungry. I almost went inside of another local Indian restaurant. We walked past McDonald's and the Goodlife gym and then some more (10-15 minute walk). <br/ <br/ It's a semi-basement level restaurant. Right when you open the entrance door, there will be steps. This probably won't be suitable for people with mobility aids and can probably arrange take-outs.<br/ <br/ Like other Indian restaurants, it had dimmed lights and Indian art hanging on their walls. We arrived two hours before closing so the staff were rushing to pack up and go home. Service was average but could have been a bit better.<br/ <br/ Entrance view: They had buffet carts at the back. Now I'm curious about their buffet specials.<br/ <br/ Like other Indian restaurants, it had dimmed lights and Indian art hanging on their walls. We arrived two hours before closing so the staff were rushing to pack up and go home. Service was average but could have been a bit better.<br/ <br/ The mint sauce (left side) was a pastel green colour which I've never seen before. It was a creamy mint sauce with a salty taste in the end. Danny and I preferred the tamarind sauce because it was tangy, sweet with fruity notes.<br/ <br/ Now that's a samosa! It was handmade, fresh, hot and well-seasoned. I was getting greedy and tried to persuade Danny to order another serving of samosa. He said no.
