You might be forgiven for thinking you are at some fancy botox clinic the place is rather stark and doesn't really make you want to hang out. Having said that, we tried a number of Sicilian delicacies cassata, cannolo and a whipped cream filled profiteroles and they were all rather good. Buy a selection of cakes and have them somewhere else.
I was at this place with my wife, we had Gelati which were very delicious The atmosphere is rather clean, unlike the classical cafes. Staff was very friendly.
We had coffee and pastries here. The pastries were average, they looked much better than they tasted (spongy, too sugary... couldn't finish them). The worst was the coffee: they managed to burn it! That's anathema in Italy and should be enough to stay away from this place. Service was inattentive and unprofessional.
I don't have any photos because we ate and enjoyed the moment. There's nothing about this bar I don't like (as a Palermitan). On Santa Lucia I buy the arancini and they're the same as the ones in Palermo, the cuccia is excellent, even the pistachio one, on San Martino I buy the San Martino biscuit with ricotta and it's perfect, today for San Giuseppe I had the sfincia and a zeppola with pistachio (which they didn't have on the balcony) and, as always, everything was delicious. I can't argue with the kindness of the staff because it's impeccable. Sure, the prices aren't what I find in Palermo, but I can't complain because we all know that everything costs less in the south. When I enter this bar, I feel like I'm back in my beloved Palermo.
