From the winding street beneath the chapel of La Superga in Torino you might not even see this restaurant. It's simple, understated and in the end marvelous! You enter Ri' Ciacci off a simple garden into a very well appointed formal dining room. There is an upstairs with a balcony that is equally as charming and refined. From the simple menu posted near the entrance to the building there are two choices: alla carta or family style dining a kind of prix fix menu . We chose to be surprised. I can't recall the names of everything we ate but I can tell you that the flavors were the most fresh, most simple yet most complex, and the most tasty, that I've ever had. As a chef I'm still trying to incorporate those flavors now that I'm back home. The antipasti plate was beautiful and had flavors I'd never experienced before. Of the other dishes:The pasta was hand made. The beef braised in burgundy wine. Sorry, I'm taking a minute to salivate from the memories. Rita the owner and as I discovered later chef of Ri' Ciacci has been doing this for 61 years. And I hope she's still doing it for many years to come. Ri' Ciacci's don't blink or you'll miss out on a culinary memory.

The venue... read more It’s a Gem Had lunch with my Dad and Brother while in Turin. I’d heard about Rita the 80 year old owner and Chef and had to experience it for myself. The venue is in a beautiful setting, the decor tells the story. Rita is amazing and has a huge amount of passion and pride and food to match. We had a traditional Piemonte menu which was amazing, the dessert Bonet is a must.
