You only really want three things at a fish restaurant unbeatable freshness; simple preparation; great service. This place has them all plus….astonishing desserts unique to Turin. We dare you to try the Monviso! Good value, lovely experience.

We’d seen Papo earlier and decided to give it a try. This restaurant has an all fish menu. Caviar, oysters, fish tartare, baked and fried. We ended up choosing a light meal of a seafood trio of fish tartare and a lobster sandwich with a nice rose. The service was great, the presentation was beautiful and the food was wonderful!

We were first told no, but then... read more On a recent Saturday night, we couldn't get into the fish restaurant on via Monferrato, they suggested we try Papo Pizza nearby. We were first told no, but then seated, with the proviso we sit only an hour. Thereafter, service was fine. I had the Tentocolo pizza, with Octopus, which was fantastic, soft, but chewy crust. Husband had pizza with prosciutto and arugula, also very good. We took the remainders home in a box. Wine was 5 euro a glass; might have been better off getting a bottle for 20 euro. Surrounded by locals, with large outdoor eating area. Maybe on a weekday you don't need reservation.

The wine was very good, too, and reasonably priced.
