Quality, speed of service and kindness: 5 small appetizers, a first course and a second course for €25. I don't think there are many places in Turin that offer such a successful and cheap formula. I think that the place has everything on the table to achieve the success enjoyed in recent years by Il Chiosco dello Zoo, a restaurant in the center of Turin, where the same owner offers the same concept but with a fish me... What Pierino PCB doesn't like about Osteria Del Cardinale:
I went twice, with friends, a month apart. Experience not to be repeated a third time. The fixed menu is always the same, quite cheap. The tagliatelle are with ragù, but the ragù is something completely different. The desserts, 3 tastings that taste like nothing. The annoying thing is that they don't have the pos. But they don't say this when booking. And then, it seems strange to me that a few months after the openi... View all feedback.

I think that the place has everything on the table to achieve the success enjoyed in recent years by Il Chiosco dello Zoo, a restaurant in the center of Turin, where the same owner offers the same concept but with a fish menu. At the Cardinale you can eat a tasting of land and typical Piedmontese dishes. It's just a shame that there aren't any house wines in bulk, but there is still a wide selection of bottles. For me one of the best places in the city for quality/price. Not to be missed.
Savoy Oasis. In Turin, where taverns offering two pieces of raw fish for €70 have long reigned supreme, finally a true Piedmontese Trattoria like il faut. Pleasant and quiet location, easy to find parking, excellent value for money. To try!
FABULOUS Splendid location at the foot of the Turin hill! Excellent tasting menu with a good selection of wines! To try!!
Well, to say that the food is good in this place is almost an understatement... We arrived by chance, at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, and were welcomed with smiles and open arms. They prepared the table for us impeccably and offered their type of menu: a fixed price menu with starter, first course and second course. The appetizer included Bra sausage (warning: it's addictive! , veal with tuna sauce, green tomini, green and red anchovies and a Russian salad that I've never eaten so good... Then tajarin (strictly fresh and homemade, like the bread and breadsticks with fassona ragù and a sirloin with potatoes as a second course. At the end they ask you what dessert you want: they offer you tastings or the more classic bunet. Having already glimpsed how beautiful they were in the room, we ordered all the samples: Tiramisu and panna cotta. In addition to being beautiful beautiful beautiful in an absurd way they were also good good good in an absurd way... All served by fantastic staff: very attentive without ever being intrusive, definitely trained in the art of the tavern. So: great experience. Definitely worth repeating when we return to Savoy land!
