We had good pizza there. The service was also good. A positive sign was that the other evenings we tried to go it was full. It means that place is well known and appreciated by the locals. My advise, make a reservation before going.
A few steps away from the main rail station of Porta Susa this cosy and quite small restaurant offers genuine Southern Italian food in very large portions, from a pizza (larger variety of toppings) to amazing starters and main courses. Beware there are a few steps and because of its small size you wouldn't be able to get in with large pieces of luggage.

I returned to Turin after eight years and couldn 't wait to return to Macherè. I ate there for both lunch and dinner and can only confirm the wonderful impressions I left. I immediately felt at home, just like I did years ago. The place is welcoming, the staff friendly, the atmosphere family-friendly, and the dishes prepared with care and passion. And what can I say about the pizza? It 's the best in Turin, and beyond. It 's definitely their strong point: light dough, quality ingredients, and a huge selection. The Carlo is my favorite; perfect pizza exists! The first courses are also highly recommended, and especially the desserts, prepared with love. I can 't wait to go back.
Finally, something original in Turin's restaurant scene. Authentic, exquisite Cilento cuisine with a wide array of flavors. Minimal frills and plenty of substance, from the unmissable Macarè appetizer to the first and second courses of seafood and meat, not to mention the excellent Neapolitan-style pizzas. Family-run, they carefully select their ingredients (even the cover charge is excellent: homemade bread made on site) and chef Raffaele's preparations, all without breaking the bank. I'll be back at the first opportunity.
Good Neapolitan-style pizza, traditional homemade desserts. The seafood dishes we saw passing by were very tempting.
