What Maria Giordano doesn't like about La Piola Del Forno:
We went for lunch there with friends. The portions were really really small and the prices were high for what we get. Apart from this, we needed to wait for an hour to get a hamburger and pasta. They were cold when we finally got them. View all feedback.
We had a lovely evening meal outdoors along with a great bottle of wine. The service was exquisite and the food pretty good. Altogether a very relaxed , informal evening for which we were grateful after 3 days of extremely high temperatures and the not so good service7attitude of other restaurants (torinesi appear to be pretty dour and don't smile much... . La Piola was a most refreshing welcoming change! Prices reasonable and generous servings.
Service was attentive. Disappointing food. Have a look at the pictures, they speak for itself. Risotto Primavera – supposedly made with vegetables. Not a sign of them, what we got was a nice mushy rice cream, overcooked and served in a “nice” shallow dish to make sure it is cold when it gets to the table . Honestly the worst risotto I have tasted in my entire life, not even my mother-in-law cook a risotto like that. Insalatta Galina or chicken salad. Again, have a look at the picture, one layer of mushy lamb lettuce in the bottom cover with a sliced chicken breast. No taste, very good if you are on a diet at the hospital. The only acceptable dish was the cold slices of beef with capers sauce. Sorry guys, for the price you practice you have much to improve in your kitchen and dish presentation.

Came here when the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed... and it was one of the best meals that I had in my trip to Italy. The service was fantastic- the owner was very knowledgeable with making recommendations from the long and carefully curated list of mostly local wines. The agnolotti was fresh and tasty, and thebonet alla piemontese for dessert was rich and memorable : A great place to try local cuisine.
The food was good and so the wine, I tasted a very nice risotto al barolo. The prices are a bit too high, especially 2€ for an espresso.
