My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant one of our first nights after moving to Torino from the US. I have since gone back several times in the few weeks since living here, and I will miss the food and owners when we move! Everything we have tasted has been delicious (especially the beef sandwich, calzones, pasta dishes, chicken, potatoes, and lasagna). Most of all, the owners are extremely friendly and teach me a little Italian each time I visit. The prices are great, the place is clean, and I can't recommend it more highly!
Had a beautiful dinner here with a business associate and his family. Extensive menu with delicious choices made all the better by their excellent service. It is hard to find a poor meal in Italy, so it really boils down to what really excels, and this place has it!
I would like to thank the Italian man and woman, working in Dolce and Salato , for their kindness and spontaneous positive conversations on Italian with us (foreign students : Speaking about the food, it is very well cooked, you feel like eating home made decisions plates, not a restaurant exotic expensive food. The price is really attractive, that is why the place is always serving students. Be aware that is it not a restaurant, so, there is not place to sit and enjoy the food, there are only few round tables in the room.. BUT, you can take away and enjoy you food in the park or near the river ; I recommend to those, looking for a cozy place with extremely friendly staff, delicious simple and cheap home made food. Sincerely yours, Small Russian Girl
Prices very low for some Sicilian traditional dishes. Also some veg options. Very good pizzas and rolls. Very welcoming and authentic staff besides the place is not cool, it' only ok for take away.
Authentic Italian recipes, mainly from Southern Italy, you can have pasta, pitta (kind of a soft bread roll) lasagna, arancini, panzerotti and sandwiches, as well as chicken and meatballs. A tray of pasta, a panzerotto or pitta and a water bottle will cost you just about 10 euros, it 's perfect for people on a budget and worth every cent. The owners are nice and the main customers are students and locals, atmosphere is homey and friendly. Only drawback I can think of is the space, there 's not much room to sit, but the place is meant as a to go kiosk, where people get something and eat it somewhere else. There are a few stools and tables, but during lunch hours and busy hours you may be unable to find a spot to sit, however close by is the university campus and a green area where you can sit on a bench or table. Now I can 't stress enough how amazing the food is, I 'm a local and I 'm writing this in English because I want to point tourists and students to this place to have some cheap (in price but not quality) and tasty Italian food.
