On our last day, wight before our departure we stopped by this beautiful cafeteria and had a really delicious bicerin, the typical Torinese coffee with hot chocolate and cream. The hot chocolate tasted like a homemade delight and we were very, very content both with our bicerin and the service! Stop by if you get the chance! View all feedback.
What Radames Sorrentino doesn't like about Beccuti Torrefazione Caffetteria:
Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to eat here. We waited outside for about 5 minutes whilst we were ignored by staff. We then tried to sit down and were rudely told by a woman that the table was occupado. She didn’t offer any prospect of a table or welcome us in any way. So we left. View all feedback.
People around the world love to fetish coffee, turning its growing, roasting, grinding and brewing into both art and science. At the end of the day, I suspect that, while coffee as hobby is rewarding for many, the point is ultimately to drink the stuff. As a former coffee fetishist, I am pleased to report that Beccuti was my 10-step program. To the maximum extent possible, I drink nothing else (although I will drink mail-ordered Quarta, the legendary coffee of Lecce, Puglia, if annoyances like COVID-19 separate me from my Beccuti), and I regularly travel over an hour in Italy to buy it, and 5 hours from France as required. As good as it is at home, there is nothing like the barista experience in the shop, and not only a shot or two...the shakerato on a hot summer day is a life-changing experience!
So, we heard that Bicerino(hot chocolate and espresso) is very popular in Torino so we decided to try it. Here, it was amazing. The waiter was really nice and the whole atmosphere is very cozy. I could stay in there forever.

It is small and perfectly formed. An old fashioned cafe serving excellent coffees. A small outside seating area and an even smaller space inside. Service is slick and polished it appears the two guys have been running this pace forever. A nice little snapshot fo a time not quite gone by. They do more than just coffee and cake/biscuit and beers etc but this is a local cafe and not a place to think about a meal.
