The location is absolutely breathtaking, but sadly that 's it from the positive sides. We booked a table for lunch in advance, we hoped to eat something light as we had plans for a dinner with friends later. When we arrived we were informed that it 's a fixed lunch menu, 5 courses. The stuff didn 't speak English, therefore it was hard to find out what included in the 'fixed menu '. We decided to give it a try. So 25 EUR per person for some really basic stuff: 1.croissants and cheese, 2.egg flan, 3.vegetarian lasagna, 4.scrambled eggs with bacon (second egg plate! the chef was really running out of ideas i guess), 5. 2 small American style pancakes. With drinks the bill was 75 EURO for a cheap, fast food quality lunch. So definately not recommended. Maybe a good place for a coffee, to admire the interiors but not an Italian food experience.

Have gone there several times to meet friends or for business meetings. Normally this is outside regular meal times so this review is not regarding lunch or dinner items but regarding coffee or tea breaks. Coffee is normal quality, nothing to write home about but not bad. They offer tea that is moderately high end but perhaps it has sat there a little too long given that Italy is not known for a high percentage of tea drinkers. Ambiance is wonderful, period and quiet. This is perhaps because it is located in Circolo di Lettore so perhaps comments about this should be attached to a review of CDL. In any case the one jarring element regarding ambiance/atmosphere is that they are using the large antique pool table as a bus/service station. This has ripped the felt and shows sections of the wood or slate below. (Shudder! Server on this occasion appeared irritated at the start, left the table before one customer finished speaking and appeared exasperated/more irritated when they had to return to complete the order they had not listened to. Prices at the cash register were not those written at the entry and there was no indication or menu that stated prices were higher at the table or that there was an option of ordering in the entrance.

Hidden gem inside a beautiful historical palace. The pastries are amazing, and there are great (though few) vegan options.
