I went midday on a weekday and had the whole place to myself. The girl working there was very nice and helpful while working with the owls. She took pictures for me and showed me all the owls one by one. As seen in the photo the owls did not fly away when they were on me so I think they are pretty happy. I would definitely recommend trying this out.
I really regret going because the owls are all chained and were living in such a small space. They couldn't really fly. There were owls that flew away when the chain was taken off to put them on guests because they looked like they hated having to be instructed and they wanted freedom. Some owls appeared cranky and flapped their wings when people touched them or tried to put them on the people. My friend also said it was depressing. I went because in other pictures I saw cats being free and live in such a big spacious space where they can jump around. I thought the owl cafe would do the same. I feel sorry for having done this, and would never commit the same mistake again.
Owls are lovingly kept with many breeds on show. No food is served here. A unique and memorable visit.
Very sad experience. A tiny room with many unhealthy looking owls. Not ethical at all. On top, 2200 to enter. Not much else to offer. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000
