For a department store you have to say fair play. The breakfast was really good quality. It's a great alternative to more mainstream locations. The staff are very accommodating and upon return to tourquay I will come here again. View all feedback.
What Linda Owen doesn't like about Hoopers:
Five of us visited for lunch. The experience was mixed. My aged Mother ordered Ham Cheese Panini which was as tough as old boots. She could not cut it with a knife. As a consequence, we took another knife from another table but...same result. We asked if they had any sharper knives such as a steak knife. The response was no use what you have got. With almost everything closed along the harbour, as it is januar and from the season was suggested I go to hoopers. on the top floor with magnificent harbour view must be some of the seats with a look like gold dust. it is a counter-operation with a small selection on the display, including beautiful looking cheeses I have for a cheese bevel quiche with salat all very nice with a beautiful tomaten chutney. the opposite is dirty, they try to sell boilers, toaster, cute discounted white china as well as cards, serviettes and other items, and it makes the place look messy carpet in the front area is dirty and worn and love to detail required that the chef sends some nicely presented delicious food and to the greatest part the servier staff is pleasant
We hadn't realised Hoopers had such a pleasant cafe inside. Seating area was bright and very pleasant. We had a delicious soup and cake which were very good and reasonable value. Coffee was also very good. I would recommend a visit
If you fancy spending some money go here. We love this shop can't afford thousands but hundreds work here lol
It's like going back 25 years to how department stores were and should be. Immaculate, knowledgeable and helpful staff who offer the customer exceptional service, sadly lacking today. The cafe with great views is a bonus offering well priced, tasty luncheons. A veritable oasis in Torquay.
My local department store, family feel, friendly staff, lovely items, incredible sales of high end fashion. The Loyalty card is worth having. The restaurant is situated on the top floor, lovely views of the harbour, good selection of food, (highly recommend the leek and potato soup) food lovely, and well presented, Frequent visitor.
