Drake's Fish Chip - Torbay

The haddock and chips at this restaurant were excellent, with generous portion sizes. The scampi was also delicious. The establishment is a traditional sit-in chip shop with exceptionally friendly service. Although I had never been before and chose it last minute, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely awful.. was supposed to be the next best to Hamburg's, not anymore . Food terrible, staff very rude. Avoid . I'm a local and I'm gone.

Usually, we go to the one around the corner but have not been that happy of late with the quality and the price. Thought we'd try this one, Drakes on the Babbacombe Road. How blooming marvellous. Beautiful Hake, well cooked, deliciously moist and flavoursome. Not too much batter. Just perfect. Served alongside really well cooked chips, suitably sized and tasty. Cooked to order. Really friendly service too. Busy and vibrant takeaway with eating in options although I didn't read the smallprint on that. Prices very competitive. My new favourite chippy and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend.

Very fast and good ... top notch chip shop ... served and food provided in under 3 minutes on a Sunday Evening
