Old Munich Cafe - Topsham

Initially, I was skeptical about enjoying German cuisine; having traveled to Germany about a decade ago, I had been put off by heavy sauces and tough meats. But this meal was exceptional, and I found myself wanting more! For dessert, I ordered a 10-layer chocolate cake/torte. When it arrived, I was concerned it looked a bit dry, but it was actually creamy, fluffy, and absolutely perfect. I do worry about their longevity since there were only a few other customers during our visit. I think they could benefit from having a lit sign at the end of the driveway to attract attention. The service was outstanding, and the chef was very accommodating with special requests. I can't wait to return!
