What User doesn't like about Raw Sugar Cafe:
On my way to work I chose to duck into Raw Sugar for a coffee before continuing. The design, location and food range was good, positioning the cafe to have enormous potential, provided the service from a few of the staff members improve. On receiving my coffee a couple of times i have visited, my cup has been dropped with the staff member saying "here" before walking away. It is minor however the situation was awkwar... Very good Merlo coffee, quiet large area, comfortable seating, tired from wandering around during the Carnival of Flowers so a respite for my aching feet.I saw the Merlo sign and headed straight inside. Being an out of towner I vaguely remembered the Merlo name search on the internet but found quite accidently. Really pretty displays of high end gifts; loved the bright read exotic tea set, jewellery and scarfs for sale. Wish I had not eaten before as the sweets and croissants baked on the premises looked enticing. Lots of magazines to browse through, and it would be a very cool breezy place to drink coffee during the hot summer days.
We quite enjoyed a little breakfast here one weekday morning. Not much on the menu but we found something to please us. Nice Merlo coffee!
Our office attended for a group lunch of say 25 people.We pre booked for 12 and the lunches were ready to go and they even knew the names of people who ordered them.Lunch servings were a good to large size. I had the BLT with chips and I was quite full after having this tasty meal.We sat outside however there is an inside area of the wale aether is cooler.Service was good, and meals served on time.Believe I would return for lunch in the future.
Locally owned with a staff of the most pleasing & friendly ladies, Raw Sugar is a delight. Great, great coffee plus scrumptious bacon & eggs with all the sides to choose from for breakfast... Overlooking beautiful Queens Park & Frog's Hollow... If you're just popping in for morning tea or a break, they have freshly home baked biscuits, slices and desserts. You can't beat Raw Sugar for service, value and, did I mention, great, great coffee!!
