I was thrilled to discover three clearly labeled vegan options on the menu and decided to try the vegan breakfast. Although I wish there had been some bread to accompany my meal, I was grateful to find such delicious options in a remote location like South Gippsland. Bonus points for using Bonsoy as well.

We arrived just before the menu changed f... read more We were excited to discover The Windmill Café for lunch today. Our family is vegan, and one of us is also gluten-free. We arrived just before the menu changed from breakfast to lunch, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to order items from both menus. Two of us had the vegan breakfast, another had the vegan bowl, and another had the vegan wrap (gluten-free). All of our meals were a good portion size, gourmet quality, reasonably priced, and delicious! We opted to take our meals to go, and they were packaged in eco-friendly cardboard, with sauce containers and utensils included - very impressive. We highly recommend The Windmill Café for their exceptional food and service. It can be challenging to find high-quality vegan and gluten-free options while traveling, especially ones that are environmentally conscious. If we could give 5 stars, we would (but they are only available for entirely vegan restaurants).

We are happy to have found the windmill café for lunch today. our family is vegan and one of us is also gluten-free. we arrived shortly before the menu change f... read more We are happy to have found the windmill café for lunch today. our family is vegan and one of us is also gluten-free. we arrived shortly before the menu change from breakfast to lunch and the staff was very friendly and accommodating so that we can order both breakfast and lunch menus. two of us had the vegan breakfast, another had the vegan bowl and another had the vegan package (glutenfree.) all our meals were a good portion size, gourmet quality, inexpensive and delicious! we wanted to take away our meal times that they packed in environmentally friendly cardboard, including the sauce container and Utensils-very impressive. we highly recommend the windmill caffe for their exceptional food and service. it is not easy to find good quality vegan and gluten-free options while on the road, the more environmentally conscious. if we could give 5 stars, we would (only available for fully vegan restaurants).

We arrived just before the menu switched from breakfast to lunch, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to order from both menus. Two of us enjoyed the vegan breakfast, another had the vegan bowl, and one had the gluten-free vegan pack. All of our meals were generously sized, high quality, well-priced, and delicious! We requested our leftovers to go, and they were packaged in environmentally friendly cardboard, complete with sauce containers and utensils – very impressive. We highly recommend the Windmill Café for its exceptional food and service. It's not easy to find such great vegan and gluten-free options while out and about, especially those that are environmentally conscious. If we could, we would give it 5 stars (but unfortunately, that's only available for fully vegan restaurants).
