Such a warm w... read more As we were staying at the marvellous b&b Casa Ceres we were recommended to have dinner at Stop 81 just up the road. What a glorious place this is. Such a warm welcome from Antonio, such great attentive service and Manuella such a great chef, delicious traditional português dishes cooked with passion. We went two nights out of our 4 night stay and will return again in December. It is wonderful value for money but mainly it offers true genuine português hospitality. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Family run with regional food. I even got a very good vegetarian option “Migas” and a fantastic fresh salad with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and water melon. Super nice creation! One of the daughters speaks perfect english and everyone is absolutely friendly and helpful. Best road stop to get some tasty, healthy food. Obrigado!!!

Traditional dishes are cooke... read more When ever we stay at Casa Ceres we always visit Antonio and Madalena. Your will always get the warmest of Portuguese welcomes here. Traditional dishes are cooked with passion and you will not leave hungry. Wonderful homemade food and the desserts are great too as is the house vinho tinto. Make sure you stop at Stop 81 you will not be disappointed and will want to return. We shall be returning again in January for sure.

The owner was very nice, friendly and happy to laugh and jok... read more This was a very cosy, comfortable restaurant. The food quality was excellent and the portions huge! The owner was very nice, friendly and happy to laugh and joke he was descret enough to disappear while we were eating but seemed to reappear just when you needed him. The food cooked was locally sourced and very fresh! Now a days when talking of carbon footprints they talk of air miles food travels. This place could be measured in foot miles! A word of caution, if you are asked if you have had enough or if you want more and say yes, expect another large portion! Separate from the restaurant area is a bar with a pool table and TV. This cannot be seen or heard in the pleasantly decorated restaurant. Although not a big fan of football himself the owners regulars and locals are so the bar area Is decorated with football scarves from all over Portugal and more than a few international ones! I had such a good night and great meal I shall be adding to his collection by sending him another!
