We first visited this restaurant in 2016, where they made us exceedingly welcome after we had been covered in talcum powder at the Shrove Tuesday festival (look on Google for festival details). We went back to visit the village a few days ago, go to the Wednesday market and have lunch at La Rustica, as it had been so good. My wife and I had a lovely 3 course lunch, with bread and a drink included, for about 8 Euros. The food was rustic, hearty and filling it was also delicious. Again, we were made welcome, the service was first class and the view over the valley is outstanding. The toilets are also good! It is obviously a popular venue with the locals (always a good sign) and the odd tourist had discovered it too. Highly recommended.
Like always La Rustica (Paco) gives you a friendly service. It´s been a while that we have a meal there but it was great Spanish food on a very reasonable price. We recommend if you are in the neighborhood pay them a visit and try their menu of the day.
Stopped here on a very quiet and very wet afternoon for lunch. We ordered tuna salad, macaroni, followed by chicken and chips, and drank tea, beer and freshly squeezed orange juice, all for 15 euros for both of us. The place was very ordinary, the food was freshly prepared, rustic but otherwise unremrakable, no English was spoken, and entertainment was daytime TV, but it was warm and welcoming, and great value.
I had a chance to use this family restaurant 5 times (lunch/dinner , and I had a different dish every time, primarily seafood related. All the dishes were very good, some were enormous in size, including the Russian salad . Our host was very interesting and dynamic. He doesn 't exactly speak English, but he manages. It was fun. : The wines and beers I tried were very good. The pricing is not taken into consideration in this review, but I would presume that it is decent.
