The owner of this cafe is a real character and so kind. We rocked up mid afternoon and found out it was only drinks during the day and we looked so defeated he made us pasta vegan spaghetti with veg for me and carbonara for my non veg companions. The view of the lake is gorgeous (ask for a mozzie coil) and we loved it so much we went back one night (sat inside) and had the same thing again. That was probably the only vegan option but I was ecstatic after living on cucumbers and banana sandwiches for a week as I couldn’t find any vegan places near where I was staying. Plate of vegan Spaghetti was about 1400 yen do about $14AUD. Updated from previous review on 2023 10 04
The place is amazing: right in the Inokashira park, in front of the lake, great view from the terrace. The wooden building is also very charming. The owner is really very nice and friendly: just tell him you are vegan, he will tell you which dishes are vegan, and which ones he can adjust so as to be vegan. The food was very good: we shared a pizza and pastas. Not cheap, but ok, and large portions.
A quiet location in the middle of a park. The chef was absolutely amazing. We explained we didn't eat any meat and he cooked a variety of delicious vegetables and pasta for us. All personnel was very kind and helpful. Loved it!
They close for lunch, and the staff were so accommodating. A lot of options.
