I can't blame this place at all. the pub is a wonderful rural pub. eating was excellent, freshly cooked and amazing. the personal was friendly and responsive. we sat near a beautiful wood fire and gave the place a wonderful ambiente. if we are ever back in the opposite, we will surely return

It is safe to say that they served here, in this pub, the best frying dinner on the a396. I had bark and my wife had the haggis and spinat wellington. excellent spucks, gorgeous gravure and excellent sweetness. will definitely return. also a good selection of ales on tap.

What a hidden gem. steve is in front of the house and everyone is treated as if they are regular. nothing is too much annoyed and the staff is treated like a family member who shows in his service. they do not seem to see how they cook in the kitchen amazing meals. we went to Sunday dinner on Friday night. the Sunday dinner we had trio of meat was extraordinary. homemade yorkshire and 10 veg with bratkartoffeln were some of the best. space for a desert. the beer is well kept. they are not open Monday or Tuesday as we would have left. many thanks for their holiday.

I arrived at the restaurant on Sunday, November 19th, thinking I had booked a room for the night. After driving from the west Midlands to visit family, I was informed that I had actually booked for the next year. The staff were incredibly helpful in trying to find us alternative accommodation. We are grateful for all your assistance and kindness. We will definitely be making a reservation for the correct night and year in the future. (I'll have my husband do it next time so I don't make another mistake!)

Booked a table via website for lunch at 14.30 for 6 only to be told when we arrived that they didn't have a table and food had stopped being served. Kitchen closed at 15.00 so had time! Service: 1 Location: 4
