The menu has typical... read more We had a very nice dinner here tonight. Very hospitable hosts and fast service. It was a very busy night with a lot of locals celebrating. The menu has typical German dishes like Schnitzel, Bratwurst and Käsespätzle (vegetarian). But also a cheese and ham plate with slices of bread is one of the options. We had 1 course, with drinks and coffee after for 20 euro per person. Well worth it. Ps. Wednesday and Thursday the restaurant is closed.

Each d... read more Local food of excellent quality. Besides the pork schnitzel there was some beautiful regional food on the menu, varying from beef roulade to pork cheeks. Each dish was a delight. Service was very friendly, not over the top. And the scenery ..... Absolutely beautiful.

I went with the pork schnitzel which was the best I've had in Germany. A thick slice of pork in fine breading cooked up just right, served with the delicious yukon gold fries that seem popular in Schwarzwald. My wife went with a spaetzle dish that also dazzled, all for around 20 euros.
