You'll have to want to go here, but it's worth the trip. Very friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere make a great meal even better. I went with the pork schnitzel which was the best I've had in Germany. A thick slice of pork in fine breading cooked up just right, served with the delicious yukon gold fries that seem popular in Schwarzwald. My wife went with a spaetzle dish that also dazzled, all for around 20 euros.
We loved our dinners at the place. Our server helped us with the German menu. We chose the venison stew. It was so good! This is obviously a popular restaurant with the local people. Everyone was having a good time. The chef came out to ask us if we liked our meal. We told him it was THE BEST!
The inn is located on 1039 m in an idyllic Scharzwald landscape in Schwärzenbach, district Titisee-Neustadt. The inn has been a family business for generations and combines farm and inn under one roof. The rich menu is full of regional dishes; the meat of beef and pork is from own rearing, especially good are bathing specialties, such as coarse sausage with potato salad or Alsace sausage salad with bread. There are accommodations in the house (simplified rooms). Those who like to go and seek peace are well kept in this house. The host room is original with large tiled stove and very clean; the service is friendly. skiing is possible in winter; Lift in the immediate vicinity. The return to the Gasthof Ahorn is worthwhile for the simple loved ones and lovers. Wednesday and Thursday rest day
Our family stayed here for dinner on our ride in the Black Forest. The restaurant has an old world charm inside and outside. All our meals were delicious. The Champignonshnitzel and Wildschw roasts were very special. Service was excellent, the server was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Although it was a busy Sunday evening with many people who seemed to be out of the area, our meals arrived quite quickly and the server visited our inquiries in time. If you are in the area, you should stop in this rural environment.
