When you walk in you’re going to be even more hungry after you see the food buffet! The food selections is awesome. My hubby got the Bourbon Chicken, Rice and Mashed Potatoes. He said it’s the best! I got the Chicken Breast Salad. The salad looked amazing. Fresh prepared every morning! To top it off they have Gelato, all kinds of cool flavors. I’ll try that next time. But they have home made cookies!!!! GET OATMEAL RAISIN!!!!! Fresh, soft, plump and juicy raisins yum! They also have chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, and several others. I’ll be back to try those!!
I truly love this restaurant! The food is consistently delicious and served quickly. Our favorites include the baked salmon, brisket, General Tso's chicken, made-to-order burritos, and the ice cream. The staff here are dedicated, hardworking, and genuinely kind; they really excel in their roles. I can't recommend Poulet highly enough!
This restaurant consistently serves outstanding food and features a diverse menu with plates that come with two sides. The brisket is exceptional, and the bourbon chicken and salmon also stand out, alongside numerous other menu options. The side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and creamed spinach, are all very tasty. Be sure to pick up some cookies or gelato before you leave! Whether you choose to dine in or take out, the service is fast and friendly.
We didn't sample the entire menu, but what we did try was amazing. We ordered a whole chicken and were truly impressed by the flavors. The salads were excellent, and we simply had to try the Pesto Crepe—it was a standout! The breakfast sandwiches have a Manhattan-style twist and are absolutely delectable.
Delicious pizza and excellent ice cream. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but typical for the area. Will definitely return!
Poulet blends buffet convenience with made-to-order fare, offering a broad, fresh menu—brisket, bourbon chicken, General Tso, baked salmon, pesto crepe, breakfast sandwiches—and hearty sides like mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and rice. Homemade cookies, gelato and ice cream sweeten the deal. Service is typically fast and friendly, making it ideal for takeout or a quick lunch, though a few guests note occasional service lapses and slightly high wing prices. Overall, Poulet is a reliable, casual neighborhood spot with plentiful choices and standout comfort-food options.

I needed a quick meal before my dental appointment just down the street, and I noticed several restaurants nearby. I decided to give Poulet a try. They have an outdoor stand where you can place your order, or you can head inside for a buffet-style setup. Initially, I ordered wings along with two sides, as the combo offered six wings and two sides. However, upon seeing the sides available, I changed my mind because they didn't look very appetizing. Instead, I opted for just the wings and a drink. The total came to nearly $20 for the six wings and one beverage (I think the drink was $4.50, while the wings cost around $12 or $13 before tax). The wings were fried without any sauce or dipping options. They tasted good, but the quality didn’t quite justify the price.
I always enjoy visiting this restaurant. The food is top-notch, and there are fantastic options to create a wonderful meal at any time. Everything is always fresh, and the staff is very welcoming. I also recommend trying their delicious homemade ice cream. We had milkshakes, and they were fantastic!
This isn't a complaint, just a personal preference. The restaurant feels more suitable for takeout. I would really appreciate having a TV for game events. That being said, the food and service are both outstanding.
Poulet is a decent restaurant where they let you sample dishes, making it easier to choose what you like. While most of the meats were a bit overly seasoned, the menu offered a good variety of options. The rice and scalloped potatoes were especially delicious. It’s a great place for a hearty lunch.
I stopped by Poulet during a visit to Johns Hopkins and found them to be closed. When I went in to order anyway, the staff were very unwelcoming. The food was mediocre at best, and they acted like they didn’t want to be bothered. The cashier was on her phone instead of at the register, then took her time when it came to paying. The young man who took our order was very indifferent, as if we were supposed to know exactly how everything worked—he just told us we had to pay first. I won’t be returning; my money is better spent somewhere that actually treats customers with respect. (For clarification, it’s across from the gas station, around the corner from Johns Hopkins—not closed, just close.)
