Romantik Und Fuchsbau

February 2017 In short, we are disappointed! Very disappointed. Alien: The service always mentions the name of the guest in plentiful volume when... Has the X family already chosen? Did the ladies Y choose a wine? ... And what does the Z family look like (even if only a gentleman and a lady are sitting at the table...?, all delicious ( literally!? We feel uncomfortable! Why does the whole restaurant need to know how the names of the guests are at the individual tables? The food: our unanimous opinion on the “Zanderfilet on the skin fried with cream Sauerkraut and potato snow at €24.80”: we find the skin wabbelig, the sour wort too salty and the fillet of the lady Y with far over 20 small geese “supervised”. After cutting out the mouth, the tombs are arranged beautifully on the edge of the plate. In such a case, a restaurant such as the Fuchshaus should react a bit more sovereign and word-oriented. If the dark light-smoothed waffles prove to be pappy soft, the ice cream is garnished with a lot of queaky sugar spices like with a children's ice cream, we are served what I also tell the operator if the ladies Y still want a coffee or espresso. No, thanks, we are served!... June 2013 Every year the family or part of it returns to the Fuchsbau restaurant. Fuchsbau is something like an institution in Timmendorfer Strand; the hotel/restaurant already has a felt eternity. The ambience is a bit gloomy. Dark wooden walls and ceilings, dark, heavy wood furniture. Add seat covers, carpets and lamps in dark red. On the wide window benches there are unprecedented white orchids that form a pleasant contrast to the otherwise rather dark atmosphere. The tables are covered exclusively with white, reinforced tablecloths and napkins. Fresh flowers, flashing glasses and cutlery complete the image from the elevated ambience. The menus are taken immediately. They are attractively designed, offer fish, meat and vegetarian dishes as well as soups, salads and desserts in interesting compositions. An additional card is available for the drinks. As a small greeting of the house, an appetizer with smoked fish and odorous cream is served – an appetizing mood for the main dish for fish lovers. I opt for “Pochierte Schellfisch an Kräuter Riesling Sauce mit Juliennegemüse und potatopüre zu 19,80 €”. In view of the high summer temperatures, I still choose 0.25 l of water to €2.80. My choice does not disappoint me. I am very happy, just like my accompaniment; it tastes excellent! The operator controls their compartment from the FF; it is nothing to complain. When you leave the restaurant, every lady is handed over a long-lasting rose, a certainly good and attentive gesture that I personally find inappropriate because not everyone goes home directly. It is inevitable that the rose will bless the contemporary as already planned if after a few hours in the car without water and at home only the way to the compost or to the garbage bucket remains.

A very nice hotel with bright rooms and a large restaurant. We felt very comfortable here. In the room there were even real fresh flowers and on departure I also received 2 roses. I really liked it, I've never seen it in a hotel. The breakfast buffet was great, there was even champagne and you could make waffles. Especially the croissants were super delicious. The hotel is unfortunately a bit outside, but there are enough parking spaces and by car you are fast on the beach.

In my opinion, this hotel offers a cozy room and an uncomfortable larger hall. We stayed at the hotel and were kindly allowed to take our half board in the cozy restaurant. The tables are covered with fabric napkins and fabric sets. I have rarely experienced such a well-trained and friendly service team! You have the feeling that almost all service employees have fun at work. Unfortunately, the service was sometimes a little overloaded with the many guests due to underage. But employees can't do that. 2x a week there was a rich buffet, the other evenings a three course menu. The Spargelbüffet was very rich. Fresh goods and everything are quickly refilled. Glasses are gradually refilled. Empty plates quickly cleared. The Spanferkel Büffet is also highly recommended. The scabbard crust crispy and well seasoned, the meat tender. Unfortunately, ala Carte guests are incredibly preferred where one obviously deserves more. I would like to call the prices for the bids fair, as we are per person/death for the food approx. 20€ paid. The beverage prices are located in the upper area, but you order wine in bottles, this is again relativized. The menu offered was varied and here also a great praise to the kitchen, everything was excellently prepared. I hired some photos of this. Conclusion: a very good kitchen, an equally good but overwhelmed service, in one restaurant part cozy atmosphere, in the other dining room character. Overall prices fair, for Timmendorfer relations it can be described as relatively favorable. Everything clean and well maintained. I therefore have a clear recommendation.

Have you visited the restaurant that is now a beautiful tradition on the 1st. The Christmas buffet was really excellent and the service was very polite. Only the music in the restaurant was a bit loud for any entertainment, so only 4 points.
