Porto Arte - Timişoara

Porto Arte is a nice place to eat. Grab a seat right by the river and order a local beer or Romanian wine. There are soups, BBQ stuff, salads and dessert. Nice atmosphere, relaxed people, nice staff. We have been here several times and alwas...left this place happy.

Great location on Bega riverside, nice food (and cheap) and great service we had to wait only for 10 15 minutes until the food was served.

Memories of summer past and I would like to recommend you a place that has in it a little bit of popular culture of Timisoara Porto Arte formally known as Vaporul the Ship. As I said history generations know this...place my father was drinking beer here and eating Mici when he was a student. But lets stop there the history lesson and lets see the facts of today: Location nicely placed in the city center alongside the Bega river well is a ship in the end with a good seating capacity in the summer the terrace under the willows is such a nice place to drink your beer in the shade. The wooden chairs can become uncomfortable after a while so here is the first minus on the list. There is very limited parking space at the venue so I recommend you get cab. Service unfortunately I have to say average ... takes a while to get everything sorted out and on top of it, food arrived almost cold meaning the kitchen was functional , the waiter just did not bother to bring it out... Food the menu is quit extensive , we went for classics like Mici and grilled pork , fairly tasty but since those arrived semi cold ... well I cannot really appreciate clearly. Still on a better day it might just raise above the average. Either ways we were there to have some beers after a days work. Price very pocket friendly this is a major advantage and hence I 've chosen cheap eats so the price is very good , but the quality is not the best so you decide for yourself. If you go with a larger group you may want to make a reservation, otherwise seating can become an issue since especially in the summer it gets crowded every evening. Overall is an average place, very good for summer beer drinking events , food is average but in combination with the very good prices can be a place worth considering. (as said nothing special).

The service is terrible. The terrace was half empty and we had to wait for 30 minutes for a waiter to come to us. There were more than 6 waiters but none of them seem to be attentive to customers. The price quality ratio is...also bad. From our point of view the experiance was dissapointing
