Awsome resaurant with a very friendly, relaxed but yet attentive staff. Authentic and well prepared Romanian dishes, you can taste traditional food of the region, Banat, with loads of meat and traditionally cooked countrystyle potatoes and veggies. The place looks grate, in the summer evenings, the menu is absolutly grate .....to read. Is mouthwatering, beer is fresh, atmosfere nice, but the time that you have to wait for the food is horor.If i have to wait for ribs 1 hour?, it must be grate....., but is not. I had the fealing that I had boiled ribs with an glaze of bbq sauce with cumin aftertaste. My wife had duck confit and it has absolutly nice, but I hade this ribs and they did not make my day. They have an sauce that is called Suicide- its supose to be extra spicy..., belive me , i can put it in my coffe, that's how sugary it has. Salad not grate at all, grilled bell pepers salad- from an jar?, no thank you,green salad that is not fresh-no, I really know when pepers are on the grill. Ribs on the grill- NO!. Potatoes in salt crust- a joke!My wife conviced me to give them another chance, so....., pleas forgive me, 3 stars is the best that I can do, thats because my wife's duck confit was good.Please serve ribs simple with salt and peper on an nice hot grill, let people chose the sauce acording to the mood they have, garlic, chili, mustard, honey, chutney.........mango, .....Nice place , price ok, but not exceptional!
Tge place was recomended to us by a local and he did a good job. Food was great and so was the service!
The daily lunch menu:Menu is usually iffy.When there's cream soup, it's a no-no for sure. It has a horrible flour taste. They should quit trying to make it.For the second course I've received some very weird combos (e.g. pea stew with sauerkraut on the side)A la carte:It's a lottery. Sometimes ok, sometimes weird. Bottom line:There are a lot of other restaurants that I would recommend.
We loved the place. The food is authentic, traditional Romanian. We recommend the aubergine salad. Also, the vegetarian spatzle were simply amazing, great and very refreshing on a hot summer's day. The soups were very nice too. And the apples in pijamas dessert was very tasty and not too sweet.
