The first time. Was looking for a reliable, pleasant, tasty Chinese restaurant in the Laconia Tilton NH area for a family holiday. So many former locals had fallen on the hills in response to the pandemic. Reviewed website, menu and prices of Green Ginger and shared with rest of the family. Exit 20, I-93 was easy to find. We all came from different directions. We chose from the lunch menu with every choice delicious,... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Green Ginger:
I used the door for my food, so I had to choose Green Ginger as a choice over doorstep. I spent over $100.00. I got my food cold. Usually, if you order Chowmein and dinner, you get at least white rice with it, we have nothing extra. My egg drop soup had nothing but broth and corn. It very disappoints the taste and quality of food. I called them and told them my food was freezing, they tried to accuse them of the door... View all feedback.
The biggest reason why I really enjoy ordering food from this place is that it is not important what time I call it, even in 5 minutes to close time, they will go from there to my order fresh, fairly portioned, hot and tasty! I really appreciate how they treat customers with respect and priority. Unlike almost any other restaurant when you call to order even within an hour, you will definitely be given serious attitude or simply not fully said, and some will not even consciously answer the phone. But not Green Ginger, they always take my order and do so pleasant! More than once they were and waited for us late to get our food. This is customer service! I always observe where people complain about the price or piece size I have never had a problem with, because just like everything else in the world at the moment prices have risen, so the cost of goods and everything they need to run their business, prices have to go up. That's it. For two... You cannot demand good quality food and service from someone and expect them to do this for free. Come on, people are realistic and fair. What the service, as I said in my opinion (especially as a third shift night owl) can be ordered late and not badly treated because it is huge for me. But even if I went here during the day to dinate or take out, they were always patient, friendly and accommodating. So what if they don't run around sometimes, laugh and smile. Everyone gets tired, has bad days, could be sick, with personal problems, or hey you have ever stopped and think that maybe, just maybe, they are used to another culture then our so what we think or accept, unhappy, unfriendly or what else is just not true or even compared to our culture?!? It's huge. We usually order all typical things that people get when they splurge on American Chinese food (because this is what we made it to be) chicken wing, chicken finger, Boneless reserve ribs, Teriyaki, Crab Rangoon, dumplings, pork fried rice, and lo-mien. It was all really good. Taste fresh and not like old oil, even at the end of the night it is never old or stale tasting. We spent $94 plus tip and I have nothing to complain! Big job Green Ginger, thank you for being ready to take my orders!
This place was great and had no problems; 10 out of 10 when it comes to service. The food was great. It was rich and tasty. The crab rangoon was super tasty. Same with the rice and chicken. The sushi was phenomenal. Also the green ginger has a nice soothing atmosphere
We had an impromptu lunch and it was delicious! We each ordered a Mai Tai- so yummy (one of the best ever). My husband ordered Dragon and Phoenix, and I got edamame and a Rainbow roll. The sushi was so fresh. We ordered Pad Thai to go, and that was amazing too. Well done, Green Ginger.
We liked this local Chinese and Japanese restaurant on previous visits but somehow we had quite a different experience this time. We chose to dine in and I believe that was the problem. I called ahead for a reservation, and they either don't know what a reservation is or they lied to me. We got there a little early and were told we'd have to wait 20 minutes past our reservation. We ended up waiting 40 minutes. We noticed tables were available, it's just that they were so disorganized at the front of the house that they didn't even consider seating people until all the take out orders were picked up. There was a hostess but she left 20 minutes through our wait. Food was only average and both adults in our party had diarrhea the next day. I won't go back here.

Green Ginger is now in the Top 3 and we are recommended by each of us. My wife and I enjoyed a second lunch within a week. The same answer. DELICIOUS, clean, well prepared and cheap. We'll be back. Don't tell anyone. Peter and Diane
