We have visited this restaurant several times over a number of years as eat in patrons. Of the many owners and/or operators, only one young couple have served decent food on the buffet and take out. All other times eating in, the buffet selection has been either empty trays, almost empty trays of dried rations or dried, crispy rice. The take out we have experienced mostly while the young couple have been in charge and has been relatively good(meaning at least fresh). We have tried the restaurant about every 6 months or so since that is when it seems it changes owners/operators. We were highly disappointed to see the young couple gone that last time we visited as the food again was terrible. The other day we decided to try the take out again. Hubby placed the order for 3 combination plates, one veggy lo mein and a soup that used to be available for 50 cents more when ordered with a combo. The people in charge were yet again different and the woman taking the order didnt understand what he wanted. She showed a new menu which he tried to order from..pointing on the menu as he ordered. Everytime we have ordered over the years they want you to order by number or letter not name of dish. This woman didnt want the number or letter. When he got home which is 14 kilometers away, we did not have our combination dinners. We had boxes. Dinner d was Soo Guy with chicken fried rice and an egg roll which we ordered 2. Instead we had 2 boxes of just Soo Guy. Third dinner was Sweet and sour shrimp also with Chicken friend rice and an egg roll. What we got was a box of shrimp. On top of the wrong orders, they charged more for it(we did compare the prices we paid with the new menu and it was the combination prices) We ordered at 8:30 pm while waiting for a family member at the hospital. We got home at 9:15 pm which is when we opened the bag. They close at 9 but I told hubby to call anyway. When he called, a gentleman answered the phone. Hubby told him of the order and we were told 'We are Closed' This has been the last straw with Lucky's. Highly recommend NOT to dine in or out here
