My partner and I stopped by today for lunch. I had the Thai soup, and he had the tomato cheddar sandwich. We also shared an apple butter bacon burger. The food was delicious and we washed it down with a large drink. We didn't have dessert this time, but we will definitely be back. Perhaps next time we'll try the Cortez special. View all feedback.
What Talia Hermann doesn't like about Indigo Lounge:
when they have treatments in the back house full of scrap, then very dark steep steps to climb with bad foot on uneven floor above. I do not recommend indigo for unlicensed treatments. huge risk for falls, bad criticism from me. View all feedback.
Food was great, service was excellent and prices good : we are looking forward to going back : Atmosphere is a little dark, maybe open up the curtains as we have driven by a few times thinki ng you were closed when we wanted to...stop...
My husband and I visted Indigo for lunch. They have about 8 tables, so not a huge place. It was calm and welcoming. We shared a berry and seed salad that was obviously freshly prepared, so that is a plus right away. My husband had...the sweet potato and bean chilli and I had a hamburger on sprouted bread. The coffee was good and they refilled our cups several times. We shared the lemon-lavender loaf and berry cashew 'cheese ' cake for dessert. They have an extensive menu, lots of really great and different choices. I would go back rather than head to a local fast-food place anyday. It is a bit more pricey than fast food, but you get what you pay for... Their menu is on-line, which is what convinced us to try it out.
My wife and I received a gift certificate to dine at this restaurant. What we had anticipated and what we actually experienced were quite different. We were expecting delicious and healthy food options, but instead we were served unappealing dishes that seemed to lack flavor. For example, the Caesar salad was extremely simple, with a minimal amount of dressing and a very bland taste. Sadly, both the main course and dessert were disappointing as well.
It 's been a long time since I ate out and was pleasantly surprised; as a vegetarian, I 'm used to finding salad and pasta as the only items I can eat, so seeing pad thai was a welcome change. It was not quite what I 'd expected...but it had a delicious citrusy tone that overrode the peanut butter but very nicely. The zucchini 'pasta ' mixed in with the rice vermicelli made the dish chewier, and I think the raw red pepper strips had been marinated. Flavor varied delightfully depending on what was in each bit pepper, onion, cashew so although it was one dish, it was anything but dull. My companion had chicken pot pie, which came with a fresh salad of greens and chips made from root vegetables crunchy and flavourful, not at all what she had expected. As others have remarked, the service was leisurely. If I 'd been in a hurry, that might have been annoying. As it was the food was worth waiting for. We also split a non dairy berry 'cheesecake ' and lemon lavender pound cake for dessert, and wound up taking part of the pound cake home. I don 't know how other reviewers determined that the food was not organic, nor how they age checked the staff. The young woman who waited on us appeared to be in her youthful 20 's, and I don 't see what difference it made because she did a fine job. The decor was simple, elegant, and clean; I 've been in restaurants in Chicago that were not as attractive. Indigo was not what I 'd expected to find in Tillsonburg but I 'm glad we stopped and we will be returning.
Everyone should try out the lounge it has such a wonderful atmosphere when you walk through the door. If there is any spiritual or body knowledge that you are interested in you will find it here, from personal growth to exercise to dining with the...dead. I recommend you try it out as fast as you can and the restaurant is very good as well I would highly recommend the Tomatoe Basil soup my favourite
