Went tonight and the crab dip was way over cooked and came out with a bunch of salt teens instead of bread. Had to ask for bread and tasted some chunks of wonder beard for us. The burger was burnt to a crisp. Returned it and instead of making a new one they apparently took it off the bill while I waited for a new burger. When asked she didn't know I wanted a burger to eat. Well I went home hungry as I didn't want the cook to do what they will do when a customer is not happy at closing time. Will not go back. There is a reason the locals won't go here.

The rest... read more We visited Knapps Narrows by boat for the weekend of 9/9 and dined at Characters. The food was delicious- I had Rockfish Tacos and they were excellent. The restaurant was heavily populated by locals, who were so very warm and welcoming to us city folk and the staff made our dining and dancing experience among our best memories of the season. The band was Hold My Beer, a great party band for dancing. We look forward to returning regularly- this place is awesome. Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to love it too!
