La Terraza - Tigre

This place is the center of action. Sit outside and watch the boats and kayaks by. The aromas are quite similar in the whole region, so expect nothing wildly different. The service is also a little slow, so don't come here. For appetizers we had the Provoleta (cheese) and the Pinchos de Mozzaella (more cheese). Both were very good. For the meal we ordered food for 5, including Ensalada la Terraza, Ojo de Bife (por Caballo), which means that they egg up, and a 1/4 chicken, along with some other salads. The best of the side orders was the Papas al Plomo, which is several full potatoes that are cooked in aluminium foil with butter and cheese (of varieties). Again the meal took an hour, and they neglected to refresh drinks or offer us bread while we waited. Slowness was the hardest part of this place, otherwise a great establishment.

Well, the place won't blow your mind, but it's still okay. We could sit outside and this is a plus, as we were very close to the river. The food is okay, nothing spectacular. We ordered a Provoleta Parrillada for exchange with salad wine and dessert and spend around ARS 700 (USD 17) per person. Tips in cash.

We stayed in La Terraza twice and both times experienced large parilla that served good food with friendly helpful service. It's not a good meal, but it's a great, delicious meal. Very recommended

Sah to the outside tables next to the river. Pizza was excellently thin base, Jamón crudo and rocket on mozzarella. Smoke for two, washed with a bottle of Stella A. Beer. Price only OK at 400 Pesos, service pleasant. We stayed overnight and enjoyed the ambience.

On a weekday the empty and sunny terrace was very tempting and we chose to try it for lunch (we then realized that the place is in fact huge and mosts seats are inside on two levels, so only a happy few can enjoy the terrazza ! . Had raviolis and milanesa, both were essentially tasteless, fries were spongy and coffee far below average. On top of that the bill is on the tourist side, not exactly cheap. Nothing horrible but really nothing to recommend either. There must for sure be far better choices around.
