The lively Thursday evenings create a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a club night, while the themed à la carte menu showcases the outstanding capabilities of the student chefs. Breakfasts receive accolades for generous portions, and lunch options like juicy burgers exceed expectations. However, some diners desire more variety, particularly vegan choices. Meal was pretty much served as in another reviewer's photo but although the gravy was only served on the plate there were pots of mint sauce and cranberry sauce on each table. Nothing outstanding but it was fairly enjoyable, although personally I don't like my Brussels al dente. Would have been a nice touch to add a Christmas cracker.
Recently went for a Christmas meal with work colleagues at lunchtime at a cost of £16.95. This is the first time I have had a prawn cocktail without iceberg lettuce. The main lamb was processed meat which I did not enjoy at all. No additional gravy or mint sauce and only 2 vegetable (carrots Brussel sprouts) 2 small dishes for 6 people. Would not recommend to anyone. Give it a miss.
My husband and I had a fantastic 3-course Christmas lunch at Waves restaurant last week. The ambiance was great and the restaurant was beautifully decorated with a festive feel. The staff were all friendly and our meal was incredibly delicious! I would definitely recommend Waves for a traditional Christmas lunch. They offer a variety of options for each course and the meal was also good value. A big thank you to all the staff and students for their warm welcome and excellent service!
The food at this restaurant is excellent, beautifully presented, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Thursday evenings are especially lively, like a club night, and definitely worth checking out.
