fantastic eating again and again. normally eat in the restaurant, but have recently takenaway and still fantastic quality. friends in which we have eaten say that it is the best Chinese food they have ever eaten. personal really beautiful and polite and excellent value for money. What macglen doesn't like about Happy House:
I booked this restaurant for a friends 70th at the beginning of September all was ok name taken phone no given and time and date confirmed. Booking was was for 23rd you can imagine my anger when i turned up on the date to find that it was closed and had been for at least 2 weeks. No reason on the door. As a restaurant it is a bit expensive but very good and consider it worth it. They also provide a take-away service which is great and which I have used quite a few times.
Been a while since last visited The Happy House but always a warm welcome from boss Ray Wong. Food and service very good with prices just being above average. It is the drinks that also push up the cost but still worth a visit.
Just had dinner at the Happy House Chinese restaurant for the first time, and my husband and I are well impressed! A small, intimate place, the food was first class as was the service. It was lovely not being rushed through the meal as some places make you feel, in fact we were asked if we were ready for our main courses. Liked the double layer tablecloths of snowy white linen, and the discreet music too!
Wasn't very impressed at all, very small area to sit, food was poor and very over priced. Service slow
Reply to Natalie B I'm shocked you are saying this about this restaurant. My husband and I have been coming to the Happy House for years the food is first class. We have tried many other chinese restaurant but you will never beat this one. Food, Staff and service First class.
