Bollingers is a truly special spot in the heart of the city. Josh has done an excellent job establishing a family restaurant here. His BBQ line is branded as Uncle Dirty Barbecue (UDB), and the aromas are both bold and distinctive. Today, I enjoyed their Cuban sandwich, which was fantastic—the sauce was exceptional. The sweet potato fries were also spot on. If you're not a fan of family-run businesses or great flavor... View all feedback.
We stopped with some friends after a hike and were ready to eat. The waiting staff was attentive and pleasant. My friend and I split the excellent Pit turkey dinner and were done. You also have a huge selection of beer at very affordable prices... We'll be back with friends... Thanks Uncle Dirty for a great end to a great day!
Was up in Thurmont for a little business and needed lunch. Pulled into Bollinger's, walked in, very homey relaxed atmosphere. Menu has so many options everyone will find something to enjoy. Specials this day included chicken livers, and oysters both with sides for a complete meal. I decided on a burger, the J.B. (picture below) which came with the BBQ sauce, and I chose side of fries. The BBQ sauce was so good on the burger I asked the server for a small cup of sauce to dip the fries in. Speaking of which the fries were perfectly crisp outside and tender inside. The burger, ordered as medium rare, was served perfectly medium rare. Given the burger is smushed thin, to cook it so perfectly takes real skill, kudos to the cooks! Menu included any number of beverages, including a good selection of craft beer. I tell ya, next time I am in town, I will eat here again and need to get a bottle of that Uncle Dirty's Barbecue sauce to take home. (Note the branding in the bun)
Went for breakfast and loved every bit! My uncle took us and highly recommended this place. It’s been a family-operated restaurant since 1946. They don’t serve you the frozen cubed hash browns. These are actually potatoes that are freshly made. The sausage patties weren’t the cookie-cutter frozen garbage either. They were hand pressed and sourced locally. I had the western omelet and the veggies were super fresh!
We asked the Liberty attendant a good place to eat. He recommended Bollingers and we were not disappointed. The service and food was top notch. Sara recommended the Cuban sandwich and I was very pleased my husband had fish and chips and loved it. The servings are ample. The cook maybe the owner) was pleasant and thanked us for Stopping. I would recommend this little small hometown business
What a gem in the Grob! I discovered this place on my way back from Ski Liberty, and the food is absolutely amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly, showcasing true Southern hospitality. They even turned me away from the ribs because they mentioned they were still being smoked for the next day. I really didn't want to wait in line!
