Park 63 - Thurles
Park 63
Description
Parkers has long been celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious food, making it a favorite dining destination. However, recent visits have revealed inconsistencies. While many patrons still rave about the menu's extensive gluten-free options and the warm, accommodating staff, others have pointed out issues with food quality and service, particularly during busy periods. Prices remain a concern, especially when expectations are high. Overall, while Parkers offers a fantastic experience for some, others leave feeling that standards could be improved. The restaurant's charm and potential for improvement keep diners hopeful for better times ahead.

We visited Park 63 last Sunday, and I ordered the beef dinner. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The beef was of very poor quality and overpriced, and we had to request additional vegetables and chips to adequately feed our party of three. The desserts were small and also overpriced. We have been loyal customers for years, but the quality is definitely not what it once was. We really hope it improves soon.
I consistently have amazing meals at Park 63, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. Their Covid safety protocols are excellent. Nearly every item on the menu caters to those with celiac disease, and they have a great knowledge of gluten-free options. I always look forward to eating here.
No restaurant is perfect, but if you’re looking for tasty, skillfully prepared dishes served with a friendly smile at a reasonable price in a charming setting, Park 63 is the place to go. The Pays D'Oc Shiraz for €24 is excellent as well!
Today, my husband, two friends, and I went on a motorbike ride and decided to visit the Rock of Cashel and the charming village of Holycross in County Tipperary. Searching for a place to eat, we asked at a local pub and were directed to Park 63. Although we felt a bit underdressed in our biking gear, we were warmly greeted by a friendly young woman at this clean and welcoming restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and could easily picture how wonderful it would be to dine outside during the summer. We plan to return when the weather is warmer and will definitely recommend Park 63 to our biker friends, as we’re always looking for great Sunday dining spots. Park 63 has surely earned a spot on our list of favorites.
I visited Park 63 for dinner last Friday night and tried their Christmas menu, which was excellent as always. Usually, when I look at menus, I only find about three dishes that appeal to me, but this menu was quite extensive with many great options. For starters, I had a Caesar salad croquette. As a big Caesar salad fan, I was thrilled to see this, and it did not disappoint—the flavors of the Caesar salad were perfectly packed into the croquette, served with some fresh Caesar salad on the side. A fantastic beginning to the meal. Although there were beef and chicken options available, I opted for the traditional Turkey and Ham, and again, I wasn’t disappointed. The portion was generous and delicious. For dessert, we shared traditional ice cream and apple crumble between two people. With tea and coffee included, the entire meal came to €30 per person, which was excellent value. I highly recommend Park 63 and would definitely return. We did experience a few seating issues, but the staff addressed them quickly and efficiently.
