Hotel Krone - Thun

Schönes ruhiges Hotel direkt unterhalb der Burg in der Altstadt von Thun. Sehr saubere Zimmer, freundliches Personal. Abwechslungsreiches Frühstücksbuffet. Unweit vom Hotel kleine Restaurants direkt an der Aare. Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen.

For any hotel it's important that the rooms are well designed, user friendly and comfortable, Sadly none of these things were true of the room I was given at this hotel. The room was supposed to be a double but was tiny, white walls, white ceiling and white bedding made it look like a hospital side room, There was no kettle, no coffee, no fridge, a complementary bottle of mineral water but no glass to drink it from, there were no USB points for charging phones or tablets or laptops, A tiny desk so cluttered with hotel info that you couldn't work at it, and no shelves to move it to, Strange electric sockets meant my European adapter didn't work. There was one easy chair, no room for any more. The bathroom was also tiny with an annoying broken flickering light, a shower space so low the head of the shower only came up to my chin. All I can say is thank god I was only staying here for one night, and I don't have to come back here again. My advice to any traveller, especially a business traveller is stay somewhere else, if you want a 4 star service,

We booked a superior family room at the Hotel Krone Lenk from February 19th to 21st, 2024 (3 nights). We were very satisfied! The room was nice and clean. The staff was very accommodating and nice!
