So glad our son needed a bathroom break on our road trip just before we passed by here. We stopped for dinner and the food did not disappoint. We enjoyed the hot turkey and beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes, the fish special and the broasted chicken. The dinner meals were served with a little but nice salad bar and soups of the day. Great food! We got breakfast and it came out promptly and tasted great. They have a homemade white bread that was soft and good to eat. We had a new guy taking our orders, and he did a great job. Unfortunately, another employee treated him like he was stupid and made him look like a fool in front of many people. Another guest asked a question and he said he wasn 't sure. The other waitress came up and loudly exclaime... View all feedback.

This was our first visit. Friendly staff, very good food, right along US-2, had no problem parking a truck and trailer. I know they were changing ownership the day after we were there so I'm hoping they keep the same staff and menu :
I cannot think of a bad thing to say about this place, but plenty of good! I stopped here a couple times while on vacation in the UP with my family. The staff are the kindest people, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is refreshing. There are no TVs, which is perfect. It's a chance to just relax and eat without being bombarded by noise. Please stop here if you can! They have several good options for vegetarians, too.
My Husband had the fried Whitefish and I had the pan seared walleye and both were excellent! The mash potatoes and gravey was the best we had in a long time at restaurants. Service was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Good homemade meals.
The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice for a small town Cafe, but our food took 40 min after ordering, my brother was given the wrong drink, half our food was served and the rest came out 5 min later, they forgot my toast, I asked for a coffee refill and they only refilled my husband's. Plus I had to fill a bottle with water for my infant and they had me use the kitchen sink because they don't have warm water in the bathrooms. Idk, like I said the wait staff was very nice at least and the food was alright, just seemed very forgetful and the staff seemed to have poor time management.
