Sowell's Bbq - THREE RIVERS

The food was delicious, the owner and the staff were friendly and sociable, and the portions are huge (warning... you go home with extras). The beans are fantastic and the grain bread is the best I ever had. My husband even said that the chicken is fried steak at the top of his best list. We're coming back to the next camping trip.

I ate there twice during my stay at Choke Canyon State Park . The first time I stopped for grilling because I was on my way to another grill joint and this was closer. The grill was OK. It didn't seem like it came from the grill. It was almost like someone cooked it earlier and kept in an oven. The beans and potato salad were very good. Two days later, I went back to Salsa Fest. This time I had a bacon cheeseburger. It was brilliant, so I still give this place 5 stars. I didn't have a burger who wasn't good for a long time. The service was really good. The servers feel like home. There's something about the atmosphere I really liked. I'll be back when I go back to the Choke Canyon State Park. But for me it will be a burger joint, not a place to grill. Oh, I forgot, I want to try this fantastic looking pecan pie next time.

Try the chicken roasted steak!!! The little one fills the plate. Eat the big only if you are a teenager or want a LOT of remnants.

I will never drive through three rivers again without stoping at Sowells BBQ, excellent food.
